Filling up the post of Director ( Pay Scale
Rs. 37400 - 67000/- with Grade pay Rs. 10000/-) National institute for
the Training of Highway Engineers, New Delhi
The Govt.of India invites application for the post of
Director, National Institute for the Training of Highway Engineers, New
Delhi. NITHE is a registered society under the Registration of Societies
Act - 1860 under the aegis of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
Requisite qualification and experience for this post are given at Annexure
- 1. Initially the appointment will be on contractual basis for 3 years,
which can be extendable to a maximum of 5 yrs.
2. It is requested that applications in respect of the willing/interested
officers who fulfill the required qualification and experience and against
whom no vigilance/disciplinary case is pending or contemplated and who
can immediately be spared in the event of his selection for appointment
on contractual basis may be send to this Ministry as early as possible
and latest by 10th Nov, 2009 for consideration.

Qualification and Essential Experience: A distinguished
Highway Engineer With
i. Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
ii.. Having [it in 17 years of experience in Road/Bridge Engineering in
Group A or equivalent service, out of which minimum of years should be
Superintending Engineer or equivalent grade in an university/ITI.
iii. Having sufficient administrative experience to organize, supervise
and control the institute
Desirable
Having worked in the National Highway set up or any other
major highway project for a minimum period of 2 years in the grade of
at least Superintending Engineer
Having experience in the use of Mechanical Equipment/plant
in bridge construction and maintenance.
Having sufficient experience in organizing training programme.
